The restored historical centre of the Royal town “Skalica” is walking-friendly. Once you choose to wander, do not forget to visit local wineries and taste the local red wine called “Skalická Frankovka” or “Skalický Rubín”. Also, do not miss the opportunity to buy the “Skalický trdelník”, that is a sweet specialty that has been protected since 2007 by the geographical indication of the European Union.
